Bottom tablet is replaced, but proper style. Clean label inside.

Condition Report: It is hard to date this nicely made large mahogany and cherry shelf clock in an old finish. We feel it might be a centennial piece, c. 1875, but perhaps earlier or later. The reeded quarter columns have stop fluting on the top and bottom of the column. It is interesting that the piece just below the hood door is a copy of the same piece used on the Willard wall timepiece. The hood top looks more like a bottom bracket to a wall clock than a top piece. The brass movement is unusual for the design of the brass plates and the unusual way the verge is connected to the pendulum. the crutch wire comes down between the plates and extends out the back rather emerging at the top of the rear plate. The dial has age darkened and with some scattered stains. Overall a very interesting clock.

Original porcelain dial has a deep scratch running from the center arbor hold to the 8 o'clock position. Minute hand is replaced. Painted wood base retains original decoration. The glass dome is absent. Nice label on the back. The movement is dirty and oily, but insists on running nevertheless.

Condition Report: Paint decorated pine in nice condition with much of the gilding on the columns is intact. Nice original label pasted on the backboard the protects the mirror. Original mirror. Original painted dial has some wear to the chapter ring and some of the numbers. There is also a couple spots of small paint loss. Dial surround tablet is a replacement done on old glass.
